Everette Webster Lee, Sr., 89, of Elkview, formerly of Bomont, went home peacefully in his sleep with his loving wife Betty by his side, Thursday, September 2, 2010.
Born August 11, 1921 in Bomont, WV. He was the son of the late Sheridan and Artie (Swiger) Lee. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by brother Israel Lee, sisters, Nellie, Hazel, Clara, Icie and Minnie.
He was a retired truck driver for Evans Lumber Co.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Lee of Elkview, daughters, Kay (Roy) of Walton, Ginny (Jeff) of Bomont, Alice (Jerry) of Walton, sons, Everett Jr., (Nancy) of Lorain, OH., Walter Cecil (Janet) of Bomont, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Michael (Norma Jean) Ridgeway (Michael III and Bianca) of Pinch, Stevie Lee (Jake) of Bomont, Jeremy Stricklen (Sarah) (Lakin and Libby) of Walton, Crystal Burns (Kevin) (Trinity) of Dunbar , Betty Sue Gandee (Johnny) (Jonathan) of Bomont, Alma Lee of Bomont, Krissy Valet (Gary) of St. Cloud, Fl., Jeff Jr., of Akin, SC., Jamie Stricklen of Walton, Sherri Stricklen (Kaylynn) of Palm Coast, Fl., God Granddaughter, Carrie Turley of Walton, sister, Bonnie King of Canton, OH., and special nephews, Gerald Morris and Kenneth Dawson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister John Hanson officiating.
Burial will be in the Lee Family cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
