Nancy Laird (Reedy) Legg, 74, of Cambridge, surrounded by her loving family, went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2008, following a courageous, but brief battle with cancer. Born on January 29, 1934, in Bickmore, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ocie O. (Osborne) and Jesse L. Reedy. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, June George, and special nephew, Jesse Shearer. She leaves her husband of 56 years, Harold L. Legg, whom she married January 26, 1952; two sisters, Hazel Shearer of Bickmore, WV, and Mae (Damon) Workman of Fayetteville, WV; two children, Tim (Kris) Legg and Joyce (Larry) Huston, both of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Timothy (Roxanne) Cramblett of Norfolk, VA, Jason (Melissa) Cramblett, Sarah (Dustin) Legg, and Tim Jr. (Brittney) Legg, all of Cambridge; four great-grandchildren, Sasha Raines, Skyllar and Tristan Cramblett and Kyana Hall of Cambridge. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a very special nephew, Tony (Nick) George of Bickmore, WV. Respecting Nancy's wishes, Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, is handling the arrangements. Funeral service will be l pm Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Rocky Osborne officiating.
