Nina Hattie “Mamaw” (Ferrebee)  Harrison, 74, of Lorain, passed away at her  home surrounded by her loving family in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 17, 2017 following a seventeen day illness.
Born July 25, 1943 in Roane County, WV, she has been a long-time resident of Lorain, Ohio. Nina was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey  “Perk” and Meta Marie (McClain) Ferrebee; brothers, Paul Harold, Isaac (in infancy), John, Lawrence and Larry Ferrebee; sisters, Annie Lou Lyons and Carolyn Ferrebee.
Nina was an active member of the New Hope Apostolic Church in La Grange, Faith and religion were extremely important to her as evidenced by her forty-three years of church related work.  She was a volunteer at the A.L.J.C. church camp and also worked in the country store there.  When not involved in church activities she enjoyed making candy and holding yard sales.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years Patrick Lee Harrison Sr.; son, Patrick Lee Harrison Jr., (Donna) residing in Oregon, Ohio.  In addition, she leaves grandchildren, Salathia, Aviana, Princeton, Toney, Alaina, Lincoln and Ford; brother, Lee “Bud” Ferrebee of Nebraska; sister-in-law, Shirley Harold both of West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved and cherished.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Laura Samples for the loving care and compassion that she provided.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay.   Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Wallback.
Visitation we be held Friday, September 22, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
