Carol Ann (Brown) Payne, 76, of Clay, entered into rest Friday, January 4, 2019.
Born June 13, 1942 in Clay, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mable (Woods) Brown.
Carol is survived by her husband, Dennis Payne of Clay; sons, Darrell Grose of Cartersville, GA, Robert Grose and James Summers  both of Wallback; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Brown of Rochester, Ohio; sisters, Betty Coss of Bellville and Patty King of Rock Cave.
She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, listening to music and country dancing.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 10, at Wilson-Smith Funeral Home, Clay. Burial will be in Clay Memorial Gardens, Clay.
Friends may gather with family from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 9, at the funeral home.
