Brian Scott McLaughlin, 41, of Gauley Bridge, WV, born March 15, 1977 in Montgomery, WV, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 6, 2019.
Brian graduated from Gauley Bridge High School and also graduated from WV Rehabilitation Center in Institute, WV where he was named student of the year and received those honors. He was a butcher by trade.
Brian was a faithful and dedicated member of the Jodie Baptist Church where Brian was an usher. He devoted his life to many of the fun activities that so many in the community enjoyed for years.
Brian loved all outdoor sports especially turkey hunting. He enjoyed numerous hunting and fishing trips to Spruce Knob. He loved the memories and trips to the high country. Brian was an avid collector of sports memorabilia and a knife maker.
He is survived and loved by his mother and father Don and Betsy McLaughlin of Gauley Bridge, three sisters, Crystal McLaughlin Gray and Wesley Gray of Philippi WV, Mandy McLaughlin of Elkins WV, Amy McLaughlin and Philip Pfister of Charleston WV and nephew and niece Jacob and Olivia Gray of Philippi WV, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pennington Smith Funeral Home in Gauley Bridge WV will be in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends and family at Jodie Baptist Church on Friday January 11, 2019 from 6pm until 9pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday January 12, 2019 at 1:00pm at Jodie Baptist Church with Pastors Mike Long, Joe Shaffer, and Doug Mullins officiating.  Interment will follow at the Rich Creek Cemetery in Jodie.

So sorry to hear of Brian's passing. I remember Vacation Bible School he was always there at church. Love and Prayers to you all.
