Paul R. Johnson Sr., 90 of Ivydale passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 after a brief illness.
Born June 25, 1928 in Widen, he was the son of the late Theodore and Virginia (Napier) Johnson. In addition to parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Clara Ann Johnson; sisters, Betty Ann Rapp and June Johnson.
He was an US Navy Veteran, retired from Central Appalachian Coal/AEP and Gould’s Electric Motor repair with over 50 years as a Certified Electrician.  He grew up in Widen and attended Ivydale Methodist Church and was a master Mason of 50 plus years with Strange Creek Lodge 130.
Paul is survived by his son, Paul R (Dick) Jr., and wife, Joyce of Ivydale; grandsons, JD Johnson of Ivydale, Brandon Johnson of Elkview; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 19, Wilson-Smith Funeral Home, Clay with Minister Joe Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Dawson Farm Cemetery, Duck.
Friends may gather with family from 6:00 to 8:00 Monday, February 18, at the funeral Home.

I just read where Paul had passed, I'm so sorry Dickie and Family, I'm not sure if you remember me but,
I use to come to Uncle Erin's all the time, my grand parents where Mac and Zora Truman,, again I'm so for the loss of your father.
