Russel E. (Eddie) Rhodes passed away peacefully January 22nd, surrounded by his family. He was proceeded in death by his parents Lee Webster Rhodes and Virginia Eugenia Holcomb Rhodes. He was also proceeded in death by his siblings; Lorena Jeffers, Jewell Boyd, Robert (Jake) Rhodes, Clarice Williams, and Randal Rhodes. Surviving siblings are; Arthur (Roy) Rhodes, and Weldon (Ray) Rhodes, and their wives. He is survived by his two children; Lisa Rhodes of Selma NC, and William Rhodes and wife Edith of Bellefontaine OH. He is also survived by his companion of 21 years, Imogene Runnion. He had 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, had worked as an underground electrician in the coal mines, a sawyer, a former fireman, and water and septic operator for the town of Clay. He was an avid fan of Blue Grass music, jokes, and taking his dog Rusty for rides on his four-wheeler. Per his wishes there will be no services. His ashes will be interred at Sunset Cemetery, and a Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.

I am very sorry to hear about uncle Eddie, he was my favorite uncle, I will love and miss him very much , you all are in my prayers.
