Clemer Lee Grose

Clemer Lee Grose 87 years old went home to be with the Lord on March 19, 2024, at Clay Healthcare Center, Ivydale West Virginia.

Clemer was born in Elliot, Fayette County West Virginia to the late Raymond H and Hollie M. Grose. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla Grose; daughters, Lisa M. Grose and Patricia A. Evans; brother, Hubert Grose; sisters, Rebecca J. Grose and Barbara Conley.

Clemer is survived by brothers Jesse H. Grose, Cecil A Grose, Clendenin West Virginia, Carolyn S.Whitt Asheville, North Carolina, and son Bobby L. Grose Raleigh, North Carolina. He is also survived by two grandsons, two granddaughters, one great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Clemer worked as machinist. He enjoyed hiking and walking in the forests and woods of West Virginia with his walking stick. Also, he enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was very kind and loved by all that knew him.

In his later years he suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. He was lovingly cared for by the kind caring staff at Clay Healthcare Center, Ivydale West Virgina. Clemer was deeply loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday March 25, 2024, at Wilson Smith Funeral Home, Clay, WV, visitation one hour prior to the service from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at the funeral home. A burial will follow in the Cook Cemetery, Barren Creek Road, Clendenin, WV.
