Dorsey James Thomas, 88, of Clay, WV entered into rest on Saturday April 6, 2024.

Born on August 31,1935, in Clay, WV. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Thomas; grandson, Anthony Duffield; sisters, Ethel Rose and Linda Ritcherdson; brothers, George Thomas and Dodd Thomas and Arther Lee Nelson.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eunice Thomas of Harrison, WV; sons, Dayton (Virginia) Thomas of Duck, WV and Eugene (Debbie) Thomas of Mt. Holley, NC. 5 grandchildren, Crystal (Tracy) Byers of Lincorrton, NC, Phillip (Rita) Duffield of Summersville, WV, Dayton Jr (Kristi) Thomas of Strange Creek WV, Vanessa (Derek) Gregory of Maysel, WV, Rebecca Guyatt of Beckley, WV; 13 great grandchildren ,1 great great grandchild and one sister, Roxie (William) Schoolcraft of Harrison, WV.

 Dorsey was an avid hunter, loved the woods and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, April 9,2024 at Wilson Smith Funeral Home, Clay WV, visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Minister Freddie Schoolcraft officiating. A burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery, Duck, WV.
