Tressie Adkins, 96, of Clay, entered into rest Saturday, March 19, 2016.

Born January 15, 1920 in Adair, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Alice (McGraw) Hamrick.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband George Adkins, children, Carol McClung, Loretta Salisbury and Gayla Adkins; and three great-grandchildren.

Tressie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-laws, Donvil (Dorma) Adkins, Delbert (Loetta) Adkins and Damon (Joi) Adkins; daughter and sons-in-laws, Zella (Rolan) Rhodes, Shirley (Branty Jr) Rhodes, Erma (David) Scott and Kathy (Harold) Scott; twenty eight grandchildren, fifty eight great-grandchildren and twenty two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister John Pruitt officiating.  Burial will be in Adkins Cemetery, Dog Run.

Friends may call two hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

We are so sorry to here about Aunt Tessie passing but she had a wonderful life and will be missed by everyone but she is in a much better place with Uncle George who has been gone for a very long time what a great reunion that will be and just one of these days we will join them along with the others that have gone on before its a great day for her ao be sad for the loss but be glad for her she finally went home Love all our family
