Bill D. Nichols, 89, of Jodie passed away on April 3, 2022, at home.
Born on February 19, 1933, in Clay, he was the son of the late Green E. and Onie K. (Pritt) Nichols. He was a retired truck driver.
Bill is survived by his wife, Frances G. Nichols; four daughters, Josephine Neal of Twenty Mile, Della Bird of Lizemores, Venice Nichols of Jodie and Billie Diane Nichols of Boomer; three sons, Billy R. Nichols of Alta, Bobby Nichols of Rich Creek, and Ronald Nichols of Lizemores; six stepchildren, Becky Jones, Brenda Kinser, Zelma Sullivan from Jodie WV, Lisa Nichols of Rich Creek, Rachel Short of Twenty Mile and Vanessa Johnson of Lockwood; 59 grandchildren and 97 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Pennington Smith Funeral Home in Gauley Bridge, WV, with Minister Joshua Putman, a viewing for the family and friends will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Holcomb – Nichols Cemetery on Holcomb Ridge Road in Adonijah.
