Billy Clayton Brown

Billy Clayton Brown, 79 of Summersville, WV, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2023.

Bill has left behind, his sisters Linda Holcomb and Bonnie Triplett; and bother, Jack Brown. He was preceded in death first of all his wife, Margaret; his sisters Velma and Dutch, and Brothers: Eugene (Buddy), Darrell, and Willard. He had many nieces and nephews. Bill had 4 daughters: Leslie Koepsel (Steven) of Pinch, WV; Nancy McLaughlin (Stephen) of Charlotte, NC; Lori Brown (Todd Johnston) of Fort Mill, SC; and Linda Forte (Tony) of North Chesterfield, VA. Bill also had 8 grandchildren: Stephen McLaughlin of Los Angeles, CA; Nathan Koepsel (Jessica) of Pinch, WV; Tyler McLaughlin (Brielle) of Charlotte, NC; Sara Komrovsky (Alexander) of Charlotte, NC; Dillon Forte of North Chesterfield, VA, Martina Forte (Connor Kowalski) of North Chesterfield, VA; Joshua Koepsel (Megan) of Charleston, WV; and Cassie Barranco (Alwin) of Florida. Then along came the Great-Grandchildren: Landon, Eden and Grayson Koepsel; Oliver and Sidalee McLaughlin; Dean Komrovsky; Jaxon and Brexton Koepsel; Camren Gray, Jarrod Pennington, and Khloe Barranco.

Bill was a Veteran and continued to support his country. He was a retired coal miner and avid NRA member. Bill most enjoyed working on his cars and going to car shows. He loved watching his great-grandchildren play basketball, baseball, and softball which gave him a lot of stories to tell.

In his last few months, he lived in Pinch and spent time with all of his girls, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who he loved with all his heart.

Bill also a great friendship with Stanley Kincaid who would have done anything for him. Also, special thank you to Recil Brown and Rodney Smith. Most special support came from Jessica Koepsel, who loved and cared for him every day.

In Lieu of flowers the family as for donations to be made to the local VFW post # 4419.

Funeral service for Bill will be held on Thursday March 23, 2023 at Wilson Smith Funeral Home, Clay, WV at 12:00 pm., with a one hour visitation for friends and family prior to service, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm., burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Bickmore, WV.
