Billy W Tanner

Billy W. Tanner, 70 of Hamlin, formerly of Clay, West Virginia, was taken from his family too soon on September 9, 2025. He retired from Clay County Board of Education.

Billy was preceded in death by his father Charlie Tanner and mother Doris Hughes Tanner, brothers Bobbie Keener, Ronnie Moore, and sister Charlotte Montana Sizemore.

Left to mourn his loss, his son Dustin Tanner of Hamlin, grandsons, Zachary and Caden Tanner of Hamlin, granddaughter Hannah Davis of Georgia, great grandson, Gunner.

Also missing him is a daughter by heart and mother of his grandsons, Evalena Fugate and granddaughter by heart Kayleigh Fugate; nephews, Daniel Moore, John Montana Jr., Robert Keener, Adam Keener and Gunnar Keener; nieces, Jackie Greenwalt and Crystal Sovine.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate his life.
