Caleb Andrew Duffield, 28, of Clay, WV, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome. Caleb was born to Gary Lee and Elizabeth (Beth) Irene Nutter Duffield on July 14, 1993 and attended school in Clay County. He was a gifted artist and enjoyed shooting pool, finding arrowheads, hunting, and fishing with his family. He was employed as a Construction Foreman for Tradesmen International in Winchester, VA prior to his illness. Caleb was preceded in death by his Aunt Diane Chapman, Uncle Dale Duffield, Uncle Denny Peebles, Grandparents Shorty and Irene Nutter, Grandfather Clarence Williams, Grandmother Joyce White, and Grandfather Denzil Duffield. Caleb is survived by his parents, Gary and Beth of Frametown, WV; brother Sean Michael Duffield (Hannah Burns) of Brighton, MI; Cousin Tyler Duffield (Ariel Sellers), of Wallback, WV; Cousin Kaitlyn Duffield at home; his nieces and nephews, Bentley, Jaxon, Avery, Amelia and Tytus; Great grandmother Zella Jean Williams, grandmother Linda Jean Williams, and grandfather Buddy Nutter all in Clay, WV; many uncles, aunts, and cousins; and his best friend, Brandon Workman. Caleb had requested to become an organ donor. Although many of his organs had been affected because of his illness, he asked that they use whatever they could in hopes of helping someone else in some small way. His wishes were honored, and they were able to use his beautiful eyes, bone, and tissue. Services will be handled through Wilson Shamblin Smith Funeral home in Clay, WV with Jim Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery in Ivydale, WV.
