Denver Joe Paxton, 79, of Indore, WV, passed away on July 8, 2026, at Hubbard Hospice House after a long illness.
Denver was the son of the late Jack Paxton and Martha Johnson Paxton Drake. He is also preceded in death by brothers James Earl Paxton, Russell Paul Paxton and sister Naomi Joan Paxton Clifford Phillips.
Denver was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired cross country truck driver. He is survived by his companion of 17 years, Teresa J. Moore White, sister Tressie Ellen Paxton McKinney, sons, Denver J. (Vicky) Ash and Tracy Ash, daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Davidson, grandchildren, Anthony (Sarah), April, Jonathan, William (Kaitlyn), Madison (Josh), James Paul (Karryssa), Taylor (Colton), great grandchildren, Leighton, Liam, Cerys, Renley, Colt, E.J., McKinley, Jack, Axel, Lyla, Ayden along with many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at the Paxton Cemetery located at Hansford Fork at 2pm on Monday, July 13, 2026, with the Reverend Willie Neal officiating.
