Dorcas Katherine (Kathy) Sears of Nebo, WV was called home to be with the Lord on August 4, 2022. She has been freed from the bonds of this world and battles illness no more. She struggled many years with various health issues and while we are devastated by the loss of our mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, we rejoice in knowing of her joyous reception in heaven.
Kathy loved deeply and had a great passion within her. A passion which was displayed in her love for her grandchildren and enthusiasm for artistic creation through crafts and writing. Her personality could be described as goofy, outgoing, stubborn, sensitive, and caring.
She was born on September 7, 1963 to the late Edgar Allen Price and Mitchella Sue King. Kathy is survived by her brother Edgar Price and sister-in-law Nancy Price of Big Otter, WV; son, William Hale Sears III and his spouse Lee Sears of Dunbar, WV; daughter, Tabitha Sue Adkins and son-in-law Wesley Andrew Adkins of Clendenin, WV.
She leaves behind four grandchildren, Andrew Wayne Adkins, Chelsea Nevaeh Adkins, Cheyenne Noel Adkins, and Aiden William Adkins.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday August 20th. More details to be announced at a later date. She will be laid to rest at Moore Fork Cemetery.
