Emma Alice Stone, 79, of Lizemores, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord Jesus on April 17, 2025. A service will take place at Lizemore United Methodist Church located at 13938 Clay Highway, Lizemores, WV on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 1pm.
Originally from Cochran, Georgia, she has lived in West Virginia most of her life. She grew to love the trees and mountains and spoke of their beauty often. She was a homemaker and worked hard to care for her family. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was known for her love for Jesus and gentle spirit. She was one of a kind and will be forever missed by everyone who knew her.
Her surviving family members are children, Jackie (Lisa) Bisson (Barrie) of Willow Spring, North Carolina, Jennifer Stone of Dixie, WV, Judy Sparks (Brian) of Summersville, WV, and Brad Stone (Gina) of Lizemores, WV; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Brown of Cochran, GA, Jenelle Floyd of Cochran, GA and Margie Royal (Thomas) of Hawkinsville, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Stone; parents, John William Francis and Lillie Mae Francis; and siblings, Jewel Arnold, Joyce Pitts, and John William Francis, Jr.
Following the service there will be a short graveside service at the Stone Cemetery.
