Ernest Ray Pritt

Ernest Ray Pritt, 79, of Procious, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on October 22, 1946, Ernest was a hardworking man who dedicated many years of his life to construction work. He was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and willingness to help anyone in need. Ernest loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time outside whenever he could. He never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcome. His warm smile, stories, and friendly nature will be remembered by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by loved ones who welcomed him into eternal rest.

Ernest is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Suzann Pritt; his children, Sherman (Stacy) Pritt, Vicky (Michael) Lynch, Samantha (Allen) King, Tammy (Stan) McDaniel, and Brad Dancy; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

Ernest’s memory will live on through the many lives he touched with his kindness, laughter, and friendship. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Jett Cemetery, Big Pigeon, WV with David McLaughlin officiating.
