Garnett (Holcomb) Fitzwater

Garnett Fitzwater age 85 of Indore, WV went home to the Lord on March 29, 2025.  She was born June 14, 1939, in Gallagher, WV to the late Lundy and Lula Holcomb.  
Garnett was extremely busy taking care of her home and children.  While she enjoyed baking, canning, and flowers, what she enjoyed most was her home and her family.   
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Fitzwater in 2001, siblings Belle Nottingham, Faye Moore, Bud Holcomb, Roger Holcomb, Margaret Holcomb, Mildred Ghee and Carol Pruitt.  

Garnett is survived by her sisters Brenda Judy of Oblong, Illinois and Eva Taylor of Elnora, Indiana, children Jerry Fitzwater of Robinson, Illinois, Janice Fitzwater of Albion, NY, Jimmy Fitzwater of Duck, WV, Teresa Cunnington of Big Otter, WV, Ernest Fitzwater Jr. of Indore, WV, and Ken Fitzwater of Barboursville, WV.  She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. 

Garnett’s family will receive friends and family at Sunset Cemetery in Bickmore, WV on Tuesday April 1, 2025, at 1pm.
