Genevieve Pearl Walker Boggs, 87, of Clay, she was born and raised in Clay County and came home to Clay County to pass from this earth on Tuesday afternoon, September 23, 2014, where she was living with her youngest daughter.
She was predeceased by her parents, Albert S. Walker and Ollie D. Brannon Walker; her sisters, Garnie W. Testa, Ottie I. Callison, and Josephine E. Hickman and Justena E. Hamrick; and her brothers, Leon A. Walker and Leonard O. Walker.
She was a tape librarian and worked for Union Carbide for 28 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Union Carbide Retiree’s Bowling League and Women’s Golf League, Angel Terrace Garden Club, Clay County Alumni Association, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends in her retirement years.
Genevieve was divorced with three children, Philip M. Boggs and wife Candace Boggs of Hilo, HI; Marsha D. Tackett and husband Rossie Tackett of Englewood, FL; and, Joyce L. Schulz and partner Gary Bailey of Big Otter, WV; and was blessed with seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She requested no funeral or memorial service and donated her body to the WVU School of Medicine.

Whether you called her Genevieve, Genny or Gen, do something you love to do and remember her love of life and laughter. She will be remembered by all who knew her fondly and well.
