George Jennings Elliot

George Jennings Elliott went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 21, 2022.  Born on September 27, 1929.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jewel, parents Jennings and Bessie Elliott, daughter Pamela, son Kevin, sisters Alice Nidy, Maxine Jones, brothers Arvil, Charles and Bob.
   
Surviving are his sons Frank (Joyce), Larry (Teresa), Doug (Mary), Georgie (Tera); nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; sister EmmaLou (Percy) Neal and brother Jerrel (Gay) Elliott.

George served as a deacon at Laurel Fork Missionary Baptist Church for 40 years.  He was so thankful for Jesus.  His favorite Bible verse was John 3:16.
   
Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Laurel Fork Missionary Baptist Church of Adonijah, WV with Ministers Naaman Moore and Jason Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in the Elliott Cemetery, Adonijah, WV.  Friends may gather with the family at the church one hour prior to the service.
