Gerald Brown Obituary

Gerald D. Brown, 86, of Indore, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2009, at home. He was born September 25, 1922. He was a Christian and faithful member of Ida BaptistChurch, a WWII Veteran and a member of Clay VFW Post 4419.Preceding him in death was his father, Jonathon Brown; mother and stepfather, Sybell and Elk Osborne; sister, Jean Baker and brothers, Dale Brown and Doyle Brown.Gerald is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jenevie Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Deloris and George Perry of Newport News, Va.; brothers, Bobby Osborne of Summersville and Jimmy Osborne of Indore; grandchildren, Tammy (Todd) Dorsey of Indore, Trina (James) Overstreet of Newport News, Va., Charity Evans of Newport News, Va., and Brian (Tiera) Perry of San Diego, Calif.; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Ida Baptist Church, Bentree, with Minister Larry Skaggs officiating.
