Goldie Francis (Bucklin) Woods, 72 of Bickmore passed away on December 31, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the daughter of Genevie (Bishop) Bucklin and Wilbert O. Bucklin. She was proceeded in death by her brothers Junior L. Welch, General K. Welch, and Robert W. Bucklin.
Goldie is survived by her husband of 52 years Arthur Wayne Woods, children Wilbur W. "Bill" Bucklin (Tommy), Genevie M. "Sis" DeBoard (Jay), Christina R. Fitzwater, and Danielle J. "Danie" Steele (Dan), 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Goldie worked for Clay County School Board as a bus driver since 1975.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Thomas Memorial Hospital and Clay Healthcare Center.
Funeral service for Goldie will be 11:00 am, Friday, January 5, 2024, at Wilson Smith Funeral Home, Clay, WV, with Minister John R. Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Cemetery, Bickmore, WV. The visitation will be Thursday, January 4, 2024, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
