Hollis Dale Butcher, age 86, entered into Heaven on Monday April 29,2024.
Hollis was born on September 11, 1937, in Clay West Virginia to the late Helen and Hallie Butcher. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Jeanie Butcher and Carol Shamblin, brother Dallas Butcher.
He was a hard-working and trusted mechanic. But more than anything, Hollis, was a devoted family man. He loved spending time with his loved ones, especially his great grandchildren, sharing stories around the dinner table, and exploring new places in the hills of West Virginia.
Hollis is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carolyn, his daughters, Carla (Clark) Fields and Stacey Schoolcraft, granddaughters, Alexandra (Isaiah) Stephenson, Nicole Schoolcraft, Charlie Johnson, and 5 great grandchildren, Ronin Stephenson, Wyatt Persinger, Mason, Aiden, and Wrenley Shaffer, whom were the apple of his eyes. He also leaves behind his brother, Richard (Linda) Butcher, sisters, Donna Legg, and Jackie Elswick. Best Friends, Eddie, and Andy.
Graveside service will be Friday, May 3, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Sunset Cemetery with Lee Swor officiating.
