Jack Harris Stone

Jack H Stone, 83, of Lizemores, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 30, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born June 22, 1940, to the late Donna Edith (Jones) Stone and William Bryan Stone. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Russell “Buck” Stone, Nick Stone, sisters, Amma Brown, Kathleen “Kack” Bayse, Margarette “Leatrice” Nichols, Nell Jean Simpson, and Bernice Weaver.

He married Emma Alice Stone on May 4, 1962, in Georgia. He worked as a machinist in Smithers, WV.

He is survived by his wife Emma Alice of 61 years, daughters Jacqueline (Lisa) Bisson (Barrie), of Raleigh, NC, Jennifer Stone, of Lizemores, WV, Judy Sparks (Brian) of Summersville, WV, son Bradford Stone (Gina) of Lizemores, WV, sisters, Nadine Cogar (Bill), Brenda Yakovsky, brother, Mike Stone and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Lizemores Methodist Church, Lizemores, WV, Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 – 1:00 pm with Minister Barry McCune officiating. Burial will follow in the Stone Cemetery in Lizemores, WV. Please keep in mind daylight savings time this weekend.
