James "Pistol" H Rapp Beloved Husband Father Grandfather Peacefully Passed away at the age of 91 In Strange Creek West Virginia on April 29th 2025 He was born on December 9th 1933 In Widen West Virginia to James Ellis Rapp and Leah (Tinney)Rapp.
James "Pistol" Rapp Married the Love of his Life Preceded in death Mary Margaret (Laxton) Rapp In 1953 Together had 7 Wonderful Children Preceded in death Teddy Rapp, James Rapp and Jimmie Lawson and Survived by Marlene (Roy) Wood, Andrew (Sharil) Rapp, Tammy (Jerry) Stuck, Christine (Chris) RappLingenfelter, Lloyd (Karen Ryan) Rapp and Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Siblings Survived by Shirley (Ralph) Morris, Jerry (Betty) Rapp, Marie Jermann, Charlotte Samples.
Survived By Dearly Loved Companion and friend of many years Stella Starcher. Survived By Caregiver of 8 Years Joe Stone, and friends John Asbury, Keith Daniels.
James "Pistol" Rapp was a Proud West Virginia Coalminer for 35 Years he always spoke passionately of every memory of his life with everyone he knew and met throughout his life and always had a story for each one a Legend in his own right would say "I never Met a Stranger" His Spirit and Knowledge will never be forgotten
Viewing will be held at Wilson Smith Funeral Home Clay West Virginia Tuesday May 6th. 5 pm to 6 pm for family and 6 pm to 8 pm for friends and guests. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 7th at I l :00 am with Pastor Wayne Linton Officiating.
