Jean Carol (Walker) Dorsey

Jean Carol Dorsey of Lizemore, WV was born April 13, 1939, to Harry and Clara Walker. She married Sebert “Shorty” Dorsey on February 13, 1960. They were blessed with 65 years and 2 days of marriage.

Jean was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved the Lord and looked forward to making Heaven her home. She reached her heavenly home on February 15, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Don, Rex, and David Walker, Patsy Dorsey, Rose Westfall, and her great-grandson Sawyer Dorsey.

She is survived by her husband “Shorty” Dorsey, her children Todd (Tammy), Danny (Stacie), Curtis (Amber), Rebecca (Joe). Grandchildren Zach (Mary), Trinity (Bailey), Dalton (Adrien), Dylan, Trey, Brinnah, Mollie, Ethan, Parker, Mallorie, Taylor, Brett, Nathan, Mason and Hannah. Great-grandchildren Asher, Anniston, Landyn, Archer, Maraya, Vella, Cree, Karsyn. Brother Gary (Shirley), sisters Janice (Jimmy), and Jane (Larry). Services will be Friday, February 21, 2025, at Lizemore United Methodist Church, Lizemore, WV. Visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, funeral service at 1:00 pm with Larry Gawthrop officiating. Burial will be at Morton Cemetery, Pack Fork Rd. Lizemore, WV.
