John Bruce Metheney

John Bruce Metheney, 66 of Arnoldsburg W.V. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Born on April 17, 1959, to the late Gilbert and Naomi (Runnion) Metheney. In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his brothers, Mike, Lyndon and Joseph Metheney and a sister, Mary Ellen.

He survived by his wife, Kelly Metheney of Rittman, Ohio and five children, Naomi, Johnny of Rittman, Ohio, Dyna Sioux of Pennsylvania, Nicole and Sarah of West Virginia; four brothers, Wilson of Bomont, Carl of Granny Creek, James of Spencer, Tracy of Clay; sisters, Sue Harrison of Chloe and Faye Ann Metheney of Oberlin, Ohio and his best friend Sparky.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 2nd at the Belcher Cemetery in Ovapa, WV with Pastor Bob Haynes officiating. 

After the graveside service the family would like everyone to meet at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Ovapa, WV.
