Joretta Ellen Gray

Joretta Ellen (Robinson) Gray, 71, of Clendenin, WV entered into rest on January 10, 2026, at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV.

Joretta was born on September 21, 1954, to Wilma (Billie) Sears Robinson and the late Harry F. Robinson. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stephen Gray, and her angel baby grandson, Jacob Allen Myers.

She is survived by her children, Heather and husband Joey Myers, and Adam Gray and Mollie, only granddaughter, Kassidy Brooke Myers, and grandsons, Dalton Myers, Jordan Gray, Landon, Braxten, and Tristin Shaffer, and Aadan Canter; sisters, Lynn (Joe) Gast, Karen (Bill) Foster, brother in law, Rusty (Janette) Gray, many nieces and nephews, and special bonus nephew, J.C. Kirwin.

Joretta was a 1972 graduate of Herbert Hoover High School and was a long-time employee of Union Carbide before becoming a retired Paramedic with the Clay County Ambulance Service.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday January 24, 2026, at Wilson Smith Funeral Home in Clay, WV at 2:00, with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00. The service will be conducted by pastor Austin Harper.
