Kathy Ann Hanshaw

Kathy Ann Hanshaw, Born February 14th, 1952, entered into rest September 5th, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She is the daughter of the Late Betty (Wade) Hanshaw and Arnold Lloyd Hanshaw. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Bob Hanshaw and William (Shaw) Hanshaw.

She is survived by her sisters, Karen (Willie) Bickford of Ivydale WV, Betty (Ronnie) Cottrell of Ivydale WV, Debbie Gould of Bomont WV, Robin Holcomb of Indore WV, Linda Hanshaw of Ivydale WV; brothers, Danny Hanshaw of Clay WV, James Hanshaw of Clendenin WV, Paul (Frances) of Maysel WV, Boyd Hanshaw of Clendenin WV.

Kathy was a very loving and kindhearted soul.

She considered everyone a friend of hers. Her contagious smile and laughter will truly be missed. She was very adventurous. She enjoyed family, fishing, joyrides, listening to her music, coloring, painting, puzzles, and even dipping her toes into the water while going white water rafting.  Her most favorite movie was The Wizard of Oz.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, September 9, 2024, at Wilson Smith Funeral Home, Clay, WV, visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, with Minister Toby Mitchell officiating. A burial will following in the Sunset Cemetery, Bickmore, WV.
