Mia Sigman Obituary

Mia Isabella Sigman, 18, of Ivydale, West Virginia, passed away suddenly on November 23, 2025. Born on August 11, 2007, in Charleston, West Virginia, Mia brought light and warmth into the lives of all who knew her.

A member of the 2025 graduating class of Clay County High School, Mia was a young woman of exceptional depth and creativity. Her passion for the arts was evident in every sketch she drew and every painting she brought to life. Whether working with pencil or brush, metal or ingredients in the kitchen, she found joy in creating beauty from raw materials. She had a particular fondness for welding and culinary arts—two seemingly contrasting disciplines that she embraced with equal enthusiasm and skill.

Mia’s talents were matched only by her remarkable character. She possessed a kindness that was both gentle and unwavering. Those who met her were struck by her ability to accept others without judgment and to offer understanding without condition. Her self-awareness was profound for someone so young; she carried herself with quiet strength and an open heart.

To her family, Mia was a beloved daughter and sister—fiercely loyal and deeply loving. She is survived by her parents, Nathan and Brittany Sigman; her brothers, Sebastian and Theodore Sigman; her paternal grandparents, Gregory and Dorsey Sigman; and her maternal grandparents, Steve and Laura Allen.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday December 3, 2025, with visitation from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Wilson Smith Funeral Home, Clay WV.
