Michael "Allen" Ramsey

6/6/1961-2/12/2025, Michael “Allen” Ramsey, 63, of Bickmore, WV, entered into rest surrounded by the love of his family and close friends on February 12, 2025.

Allen was an entrepreneur who believed in family, hard work, and giving. He had multiple businesses for many years throughout the community where he lived. He had a passion for motorcycles, boats and especially antique cars because he got to share that hobby with his children. His children and grandchildren were his proudest accomplishment. Everywhere he went, he would tell stories about them and of how proud he was of them all and would check in on them daily. If you knew him, you know that he found great enjoyment in talking, mainly giving people he loved a hard time, all in the name of fun. He loved just showing up unannounced at businesses and homes to visit and see if there was any trouble he could stir up that day. Allen lived a giving life. If he saw a need he wanted to do what he could to meet that need and help. Over the years he has done so much to help those in the community whether he knew them or not and without hesitation. Allen had a huge heart that loved fiercely and gave freely, and he will leave an unforgettable legacy behind for all who knew him.

 He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Lee Ramsey. Allen is survived by his mother, Wilma Jean Ramsey of Indore, his children, Britni Ramsey of Maysel, Cody Ramsey (Marissa) of Bickmore, Hailey Ramsey (Tristen) of Lizemores, 4 grandsons, Creed, Ryker, Colt and Atlas, sisters Teresa McClain, Procious, Drema Thomas (Doug), Indore, several nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends, many of which he considered his brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Wilson Smith Funeral Home, Clay, WV with Minister John R. Osborne officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Legends Cemetery, Grassy Creek Road, Lizemores, WV.
