Patsy Lea Dorsey Osborne, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away on May 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to those she held dear. Patsy was born to Clint and Georgia Dorsey on October 3, 1939, in Clay County, WV. Most of her childhood memories were made with friends and cousins at Grassy Creek in Lizemores.
Patsy was the heart of her family. As a wife she shared a life filled with love, partnership, and treasured memories. As a mother, she provided guidance, encouragement, and unconditional support to her children throughout their lives. As a grandmother, she found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, celebrating their accomplishments, and creating memories they will carry with them forever.
Patsy was proceeded in death by her parents, along with her siblings; sisters Helen Gee, Dorothy Mae Dorsey, and JoKay Bosserman; brothers Billy Jo Dorsey and Benny Ray Dorsey. She was also proceeded in death by her great-granddaughter Jasey Frame.
Patsy is survived by her husband Jimmy A. Osborne of 69 years. They shared a beautiful life with hard work, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to one another. Through life joys and challenges, their life remained a testament to the strength of love, family, and perseverance. Together they created a loving home for their two daughters, Judy L. Sears and Diana L. Taylor.
Along with her daughters she is survived by her grandchildren Mark (Amanda) Taylor, Jody (Chris) Farmer, Holly (Josh) Bryan, Joshua D( Leslie)Taylor ; great grandchildren Kali Frame, Jimmy (Kaylah) Taylor, Skylar Taylor, Joel Bryan, Levi (Shelby) Taylor, Abagale (Jerry) Taylor, Alexis Taylor; great- great granddaughter, Hadley Taylor; brother Jamie Dorsey; son-in-law Mike Sears and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Patsy loved the Lord and her life was a beautiful testimony of Christian faith. Through prayer, fellowship, friendship, and acts of kindness she touched countless lives and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate to know her. While we grieve the loss of Patsy’s earthly presence, we rejoice in the assurance of God’s promise of eternal life. With faith in Christ, we take comfort in knowing that Patsy has entered the presence of the Lord and has received her reward prepared for God’s faithful servants.
Her family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the loving staff at Montgomery Rehab and Nursing for the compassionate care, kindness, and dignity shown to Patsy. Their dedication, patience, and genuine concern brought comfort not only to Patsy, but also to our entire family. The staff truly loved her and made her feel special and loved every day.
Funeral Service for Patsy will be held on June 3, 2026, at 1:00 P.m. at, Wilson Smith Funeral Home, Clay, WV, with a visitation one hour prior from 12:00 to1:00 P.m. for friends and family. Burial will follow at the Osborne Family Cemetery, (Big Sycamore), Indore, WV.
