In the loving memory of Phyllis Carolyn (Runion) Cummings, age 78, passed away peacefully on May 21st, 2024, at the Charleston Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV.
Born on November 4th, 1945, she was the daughter of Don and Marie (Starcher) Runion and had 9 siblings. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, David Eugene Cummings.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 63 years (December 7th, 1960) Homer C. Cummings, of Procious, WV; daughters, Brenda Morris of Jacksboro, TN, Ruby Larch of Procious, WV and Mary Cummings of West Virginia; sons, Billy Cummings of Procious, WV, Michael Cummings of Elkview, WV and Jerry Cummings of Procious, WV; grandchildren, Jeremy Brown, Ashley Morris, Mark Junior Morris, Savannah Morris, Crystal Rogers, Angela Mellace, Phyllis Cummings, Kristin Delarwelle, Britney Cummings, Matthew Cummings, and Christopher Cummings; 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
She has now joined her late son, David Cummings, along with her parents and 4 brothers.
She was a loving housewife and homemaker and loved her family dearly. During her life, she brightened others' days and was a sweet woman even through the roughest situations and loved the Lord with all her heart.
Service will be 12:00 pm Friday May 24, 2024, at Wilson Smith Funeral Home, Clay, WV, visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, with Pastor Tony Rucker officiating the service. Come and join us to respect her memory and say goodbyes while celebrating her life and kindness. Thank you, and God Bless You. Burial will follow in the Cummings Cemetery, Procious, WV.
