Ralph L Keenan 95, of Dixie, WV passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022. Ralph was born December1, 1926, to the late Romie and Clarice Keenan. He was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Keenan, sister Leone Elquist, and daughter Diana Vanscoy.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 70 years, Eva M. Keenan, son Robert of South Charleston, WV, daughter Emily (John) Pastor of Blacksburg, VA as well as two grandsons, Andy, and Evan Pastor, also of Blacksburg, VA.
Ralph was a Veteran of WWII and served in the Pacific Theatre, He attended Glenville State College and obtained his masters in Elementary Education at WVU. He was a teacher and principal for the Nicholas County School System until retiring in 1983 after 35 years of service. He was an avid gardener with various hobbies.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday February 24, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Pennington Smith Funeral Home in Gauley Bridge, a viewing for family and friends will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, with Minister Shane Wynn. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery in Victor, WV.
