Robert Jenning Murphy

Robert Jenning Murphy, 79 went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 6, 2025, after a long list of illnesses.

Robert enlisted in the Army in 1965 and later got honorable discharge due to having rheumatic fever. Robert over came the illness and started working at Ford Motor Company in Ohio. He met his soul mate Shirley Metheney and they got married in June of 1967. They later moved back to his home state of West Virginia where he lived out the remainder of his life.

Robert was proceeded in death by his father and mother Oscar and Vina Murphy and brother Carl Murphy and grandson Dakota.

Robert is survived by his wife Shirley Murphy and 4 sons, Mike, Keith, Tony and Brian Murphy and his brother Charles Murphy; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandson; 3 nephews and 3 nieces.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday April 15th, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Moore Fork Cemetery, Big Otter, WV.
