Obituary

Roger Dale Vaughan, 76, of Maysel entered into rest on September 6, 2022.

Born on November 8, 1945, in Maysel, he was the son of the late Rev. Thurrell and Goldie (Truman) Vaughan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria Vaughan; sister, Lois Winemiller and a brother George Vaughan.

Roger is survived by his wife, Melanie Vaughan; 3 daughters, Debra Stutler, Tiffany Sizemore and Leigha Runion; 6 sons, Thurrell, Casey, Larel, Shawn, Shane Vaughan and Cole Emerson; sisters, Dreama Caldwell and Shirley Rogers; two brothers Carsel and Alfred Vaughan.

Roger retired from the oil fields. He will be greatly miss and loved by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Little Laurel Baptist Church on Hansford Fork Road Maysel, WV with one hour visitation 12:00 – 1:00 pm for family and friends, with Pastor Dave McGlothlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Laurel Cemetery.
