Roy Ernest Parsons

Roy Ernest Parsons, 80 of Scott Depot passed away on Sunday July 24, 2022.

Roy was born on January 30, 1942, in Clay WV to the late Curt “Holley” and Myrtle Icie (Stewart) Parsons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Hazel (Walls) Parsons, a beloved granddaughter, Kara Sue Stowers, and all his 13 siblings.

Roy retired from Rhone Poulenc around 1994. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Roy is survived by his children, Kimberly (Robert) Kessock of Charleston; son, Roy Lee (Pam) Parsons of Frazier’s Bottom; His granddaughter, Jessica Stowers (Corey Cunningham) of Milton and his great- grandson Carson Cunningham which was his best friend.

Memorial service will be held  to celebrate both our parents life Roy and Hazel Parsons at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Wilson Smith Funeral Home, Clay, WV, with Minister Carl Jean Parsons officiating
