Samuel David Rose, 56, born in Ohio on August 7, 1968, and unexpectedly passed away on August 5, 2025.
David was a beloved father, papaw, son, brother and friend. He loved going fishing, hunting, mudding and spending time with his family. He was a very respected man in his community, and he would help anyone that he could. David done Bass Tournaments every Friday night with the Braxton County Bass Anglers. The thing he loved the most was his kids and grandson.
David was preceded in death by his son, Cyrus James (C.J.) Rose; his father Samuel Van Rose; his brother, Robert Lee Rose; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rose; his nephews, Jerry Allen Nelson, Christopher Rose and Matthew Rose.
David is survived by his daughters, Nisa and Leighla Rose; his son, Jesse Rose, his grandson, CJ Jarvis; his brothers, Richard Rose (Miki), Steve Rose (Anna); his sisters, Laura Duffield (Lonnie), Sandra Rose (Larry) and bunch of nieces, nephews and a lot of other family.
David will be missed by so many but will never be forgotten.
Any donations will be gratefully appreciated and can be made at the Wilson Smith Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday August 13, 2025, at the Rose Cemetery, Duck, WV., with Minister Wadie Rose, Jr. officiating.
