Sylvia Celesta Lyons Butler, 94, of Ivydale, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 15, 2010 following a long illness. She was a resident of the Laurel Nursing & Rehab. Center at Ivydale.
She was a member of the Ottervale Advent Christian Church and Loved the Lord with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Nathan E. Butler; her grandmother, Olive Lyons; mother, Maude Metheney and brothers, Tedroe and Russell Metheney
Sylvia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Frankie Lucille and Robert Wilmoth of Charleston, grandchildren, Diana and Homer Graham, Stephen Wilmoth, Vicky and John Sizemore all of Charleston, great granddaughters, Alysia and Gene Sigman, Krista and Ashley Wilmoth, sisters, Vina Murphy of Duck, Opal Rogers of Creston, OH., and Virginia Cook of Ivydale.
Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December18, 2010 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Robert Wilmoth, and Stephen Wilmoth. Burial will be in Moore Fork Cemetery, Duck, WV.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
In Lieu of flowers. Please express the Love and Kindness and Generosity she expressed to others during all her life time.
A dinner in her honor will be held following the service at the Big Otter Community Center. The Family extends an invitation for all to attend.
