Tamera Lynne “Tammie” Summers, 62, of Wallback, WV, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, after a courageous battle with small-cell lung cancer.
Tammie was born on April 22, 1963, in Elyria, Ohio to James M and Betty Gill.
Throughout Tammie’s life, she worked at numerous jobs, such as a waitress, a tax preparer, and a Mortgage Loan Originator. Tammie loved animals, except spiders. Over her lifetime, she had various animals, including cats, dogs, deer, a raccoon, a pig, and an opossum. But her most recent loves were her chickens and her little dog, Gigi.
Tammie was preceded in death by her dad, James Gill; her husband, Bobby “Tooter” Summers; and her grandson, Baby Bobby Morton.
Left to cherish Tammie’s memory is her mom, Betty Gill; daughter, April Morton; granddaughter, Gabby Morton; grandson, Logan Lautzenheiser, great-grandson, Waylon Wade Morton; brother, James “Charlie” Gill, Jr. (Lisa King) from Kentucky; sisters, Tina Baugham (Joe) of Anstead, WV; Kim Gould (Stanley) of Bickmore, WV; and Michelle Gill (Kyle Legg) of Clay; and several nieces and nephews.
Tammie made so many friends as she battled cancer, and family would like to thank the ones who made her cancer journey their cancer journey.
Funeral Service will be held at 1pm, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Wallback, WV with Wayne Litton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm.
