Vinita Ball Obituary

Vinita S. McClain Johnson Ball, 65, of Deepwater, entered into rest Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at CAMC-Memorial Division.
Born on November 26, 1941, in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Wesley and Rosalee Queen McClain. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death her first husband, Harry Johnson, and by two brothers, Charles McClain and Lewis Wesley McClain, Jr.
She was a homemaker, and was a member of Deepwater Baptist Church since l988. She enjoyed her Church and was an active worker within the Church.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas Ball of Deepwater; sons and daughters-in-law, Harry "Joe" and Gail Johnson of Fairmont, Stephen and Melissa Johnson of Pond Gap; daughters and sons-in-law, Vickey and Merlin Shamblin of Looneyville and Sherri and James Griffith of Clarksburg; step-sons and their spouses, Harry and Marcena Woolwine of Charleston, SC, Richard and Carmen Woolwine of Severville, TN, Brian and Missy Woolwine of St. Petersburg, FL, Tom Woolwine of Seattle, OR, Bill and Jeanie Ball of Whitepine, TN; step-daughters and their spouses, Jackie and Bill Bee of Deepwater, Patty and Chuck Farley of Carthage, TN, and Carole and Don George of Warrenton, MO; brothers, Raymond McClain of Delaware, Richard McClain of Walkersville, WV, and Russell McClain of Buckhannon; sisters, Ruth Criss of Walkersville, Maxine Johnson of Vienna, and Edna Halstead of Florida; 51 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 am Saturday, September 1, 2007, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Ministers Steve Murphy and Tom Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery, Groves Creek, WV.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
