Willard Brown Obituary
Willard Gale Brown, 75, of Bickmore, entered into rest August 21, 2008, at Cornerstone Hospital in Huntington, WV.
Born on September 1, 1932, in Clay County, he was the son of the late Calvin and Roxie Edith Brown. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Buddy Brown and one sister, Velma Brown.
He was a retired coal miner.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Virgie Mae Brown; children, Ronnie and wife, Garnet, of Burton, OH, Sandy and husband, Grant Brown, of San Antonio, TX, Judy and husband, Tracy Dorsey, of Bickmore, Debbie and husband, David Lovejoy, of Yawkey, WV, Timmy and wife, Denise, of Wallback, Penny and husband, Allen Keener of Bickmore, Johnie and wife, Dawn, of Lizemores, Brad and wife, Lisa, of Lizemores, Scott and wife, Jane, of Bickmore, Jill and husband, Neal Lane, of High Point, NC, Tabatha and husband, Greg Sizemore, of Bickmore; 28 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack Brown of Clay, Daryl Brown of Bickmore, and Billy Brown of Summersville; sisters, Bonnie Triplett and Dutch Holcomb of Clay, and Linda Holcomb of Hillsborourgh, NC.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, August 23, 2008, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Naaman Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Bickmore.
Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
