I am so sorry to hear of Earl's passing. The God of all Comfort eases our pain and suffering with his promises. Revelation 21:3,4 is very comforting to know his loving ntentions so no one will have to experience what you are going through. May he comfort you with his truly wonderful promise at John 5:28,19.
Sincere condolences.
